Can Welch Make Signs with Moving Parts?

When longtime customer Mike Dickinson built an addition to one of his stores, he came to Welch Sign to assist with implementing his vision for creating the “Disneyland of candy stores.”  In conjunction with his new building identification sign, Mike wanted a visually stimulating and mobile jelly bean display sign to use in multiple locations for the purpose of offering tasty samples.

A key component of the BEAN BOOZLED display is a continually spinning arrow that rotates through a field of jelly bean flavors.  The spinning arrow is mounted to a 12″ x 47″ x 80″ fabricated aluminum box.  Our greatest challenge was controlling the speed of the spinning arrow.  Tom Heskett, Welch’s preeminent fabricator, generated the right combination of components to ensure a durable and delightful display.

To see the BEAN BOOZLED display in action, visit Dickinson’s Candy Factory at 42 Old Orchard Street and on the pier in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
