Sustainable Winners Awarded at AIA Gala

When Alpha One’s Marketing & Communications Director John Nunan called to ask if we would support the annual Sustainable ME Awards Gala by designing and fabricating awards for the event, Welch Sign jumped at the opportunity.

“I wanted the awards to have many ADA signage hallmarks such as Braille and raised tactile letters,” recounted Nunan. “Creating an Accessible Award that represents the disability community was a tall order, but we were thrilled with the final result. The Welch team embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, creating something beautiful and functional, while meeting all of our design criteria.”

The striking awards, constructed from recyclable acrylics, featured a reverse engraved logo and header copy, while the award plaque employs the same photopolymer technology for creating ADA signage.

According to Welch Sales Rep John Schaberg: “Our nationally recognized expertise in designing and fabricating a variety of signs to serve the visually impaired, combined with our sustainable sign design experience, made Welch the perfect choice to help make the awards Gala a success.”
